Area 3 Votes In Favor Of Annexation!

The results of the first and ONLY poll taken of residents in the proposed annexation area reveal a startling truth (NOT!). The person pictured to the left (no, not Tootsie although the similarity is too funny!) on the campaign flyer unwittingly conducted the poll by having ONLY one plank in her platform, her opposition to "geist annexation".

She lost. Was it close? No, she lost 35% to 65%. (What the heck can a Precinct Committeeperson do about annexation anyway???)

Granted the turnout was low, and precinct 11 is an area that has some subdivisions already annexed in to Fishers. But, it is the FIRST and ONLY poll conducted in the area. The gUO is only hiding its head in the sand. Many residents in the annexation areas want it!

Before dropping over $100,000 of other peoples money down the outhouse hole, gUO should do the responsible thing and identify which of the four annexation areas do not have a prayer of obtaining the super-majority necessary to oppose their respective annexations.
